Plant Breeding Methodology
Aakash Chawade is a principal investigator and leads the Chawade Lab. He earned his PhD from Gothenburg University and, following a postdoctoral fellowship at Lund University, joined the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU) where he established his research group. Expanding his academic footprint, in 2026 he joined as a Professor at the University of Göttingen. He has co-authored over 100 publications in genomics, phenomics, and plant breeding research.

Aakash Chawade leads Chawade Lab, where his team integrates genetics, genomics, and phenomics to accelerate plant breeding and address global food security challenges.
